There's about a million variables involved in that that would make any sort of speed comparisons between non-identical hardware pretty much useless, down to the type of CF, number of buffers, etc., etc.  @danbeaver also has a ridiculously fast Amiga for his.  ;)

For me I'm getting a little over 2 MB/sec according to SysInfo 4.0, all the latest firmwares, and with a 4GB Transcend CF card run through the PCMCIA adapter of my Mechware reader.  Rest of my hardware specs are in my sig.  ;)
