Re: ADF transfer kit stopped working

I have this kit and was confused about the DOSbox install, as well.  Contacted the seller and found out I was supposed to run the main .exe program by right-clicking and selecting "run as administrator".  Even though my user account was already the administrator account on the PC, I had to "run as administrator" anyway in order for it to work right.  Of course I was only using it to move adf's from my PC to my Amiga, not the other way around, and no idea what would happen if you unplug that cable with it turned on...  but maybe this helps a little?

It sounds like you've got some other issues if you're trying to run this on an unsecure system filled with adware.  Personally I'd clean that up or try it on a modern system before assuming there's something wrong with the adf transfer software.

Beyond that you might want to remove the entire application off your PC and re-download from the seller's website, here:

Pull the directory "ADF_TRANSFER_64" out of the .rar archive and drag it onto your desktop, then right-click on the file "adf_transfer.exe" and run as administrator, without installing anything.  Just put the directory on your desktop and run that file.  That's how it worked for me.
