A1200 motherboard questions...
« on: May 12, 2007, 11:38:04 PM »
So looking at it, I notice the A1200 motherboard seems to have a heck of a lot of "unused spaces", I'll call them.  For example, what are TP1 and TP2, down at the front-left (near the PCMCIA connector)?

Or U9, BT9, and TP9, over near the RAM chips?

I know that P9A and P9B are "clockport headers", or were for an additional RAM expansion of a never-released 1meg A1200, but is there any way to make them functional?  Example - mine is the 1D4 motherboard, that only has one-half of one set of these pins.  Could more be soldered on, to give additional clockport expansion capability?

Has anyone ever attached an FPU to that blank spot next to the CPU?  Does it work?

Just curious.  :-)
