Get the original CV64. It has a builtin passthrough/autoswitcher just like the Picasso2 and will team up perfectly with the A3000 builtin flickerfixer.
Speedwise it is in most aspects faster than the CV64/3d. I don't know how it is compared to the Picasso4, but I suspect it has a bit slower blitter as the gfx chip it is based on is a bit older, but it should be quite close. They handle the same resolutions/color-depths.
The CV64/3d is a cost-reduced CV64 with 3d added to the name just to make it sound good. The 3d functionality itself is unusable, the chip was just a first experiment by s3 to do 3d.
