Using Cybergraphics I could get version 5 up & running on an OCS A2000 & a Spectrum card. 256 colors and the 24bit backup.
Asside from all the other considerations, the Pallette & Range requesters are HAM mini-screens laid over the main screen. Whenever I called one of them ('p') I went to a black screen until I hit 'p' again. I have yet to hear of anyone being able to promote the mini-screens under Cybergraphics or P-96.
If anyone knows how to get DPaint 5 fully working under UAE, or with an Amiga graphics card, please share. I'd love to be able to run it at work.
By the way, make sure that you've got the proper DPaint font installed in the right place. (Can't remember what V5 uses ATM.) No font can cause crashes.
