I have read on the forums that this converter is not that great and it costs $100, so why not get this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/CGA-EGA-YUV-TO-VGA-arcade-video-converter-US-Seller-/321056801934?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac07a048e and it's only $27. Yes, it's not the best, but it works.
There are many guides on Amiga forums showing you how to wire it to your Amiga.

I'm sure it's a good alternative but the problem for me is that I don't have experience in assembling electronics. So, I'd need something plug-n-play.

Exactly what are you looking for that has to be "plug&play?"

What I mean by that is that I'm looking for a RGB To VGA adapter for my A1200, that is ready to connect my miggy to an LCD monitor; the simpler the better.
