Grrr... SAS/C corrupted disks
« on: November 25, 2003, 12:49:56 PM »
Many moons ago I bought a copy of SAS/C 6.3 (6.0 with a patch disk), with the great intention of learning C.

That never happened but I recently had a surge of motivation again.  However the years spent in a shoebox apparently haven't been kind to the disks and several, to put it mildy, are buggered.

But with good old DiskSalv I managed to recover everything of importance except sc1.library.

Could anyone e-mail me a copy of this file?  I'll need the version that came with release 6.0 or this version patched to 6.3.

e-mail: morgan.jones@paradise.net.nz

That would be brilliant.

PS: I don't think this is piracy, but if I'm wrong please let me know.

I've downloaded GCC and GeekGadgets and have started getting into them.

Learning to program in C so far hasn't too troublesome, the main issues I've been having have been with the whole C environment thing, getting used to makefiles and includes and the likes (I come from a Blitz Basic background).

Since I already had SAS/C I thought I'd get used to that environment first (lots of the programs I want to tinker with have their source set up for SAS) and then switch to GCC.

A Google search revealed nothing, which is a good thing I suppose.

Just doesn't help me :-(
