That link is old!  I downloaded SFS (version 1.58) from there and installed it happily on my system (went fine but took ages).

But I have just discovered that Aminet has the much more modern version 1.205!  Now I've got to back up everything again and reinstall it!

Aaaarrrgghhh!  Oh well.  It probably means everything is going to get even faster.  Yay!

Actually, versions 1.58 and 1.205 turned out to be compatible (unlike previous editions) so all I needed to do was update the RDB.

Phew... no reformatting needed.

From your description I would think that PFS3 is the better product.  I don't know for sure because I've never used it.

I've just switched to SFS (from FFS) and I love it.  For me, and I imagine many others, the key advantage of SFS is that it's free, and AFAICT still being developed.
