Zorro cards dissaperar on RBM Z2 bussboard
« on: June 22, 2004, 07:26:54 PM »
Hi everyone... found this problem today when starting to install Zorrocards to my A1200T system with a RBM Zorro2 bussboard.

First off I installed a GVP IO/Extender (yesterday actually)and it appeared to work fine though I didn't install it the system clearly saw it and I left it at that. Then (today that is) I installed my Ariadne Ethernetcard and the weirdest thing started to happen.

On a cold boot earlystartup menu show 3 Zorro2 boards (as I have a BPPC card showing there aswell). Reset and into the same menu again and one of the cards are gone. Let the machine boot and let OS3.9 reset the system and the second is also gone. Started SysInfo and SysSpeed and both only report my turboboard precent.

I simply can't imagine what is doing this, apart from my Zorro bussboard being fawked up or something, so any help/suggestions are received with open arms.

Heat is deffintily not the case... It's a towerhawk with extra fan on the back nad inside going over the turboboard and this happened right of the button when the system was still cold.

A loose connection shouldn't do this should it? I meen when I do a cold boot it's there again all of it and the same scenario starts all over again. Was so amazed I actually had to go through this 3 times to accept that it happened.

Power hmm... perhaps it's powerloss. The KeyOn module was useless to me since I didn't have a ATX PSU so I hade to make a custom one myself to take an AT PSU instead (200W). I hope it's just too long cables. I'll try remove the IO card and see if that helps cause the Ariadne is there to stay. :)
