030 / 040 speed difference

As other's here say the 040 is faster though remember the 040 comes with huge compability issues. I say stay with a 030 untill you get enough $ to get a 060. It's even faster and have a lot less compability issues compared to the 040.

I'm of a different oppinion... what compability is concerned I belive the 060 have a clear edge over the 040 in plain "get it to run" but to get things to run propperly in right speeds and so on, especialy demos, the 060 is far supperior to the 040.

Put it another way**:
CPU / Speed / Compability / Heat / Cost
030/50 = 09mips/0*Mflops = = = $
040/25 = 18mips/5Mflops = :| = = $$$
040/40 = 28mips/8Mflops = :| = 8( = $$$$$$
060/50 = 67mips/28Mflops = = = $$$$$$$$$$$

(* Up to 1.2 Mflops if 68882 is also used
(** Figures can be influenced by my oppinion and are out of memory so is probably a bit off target.
