The BPPC040 is an ok card but it's best of with a towered A1200 since the 040 need real cooling. I added a heatsink and fan to the 040 and nothing extra on the PPC (if you intend to run PPC software for long I sugest adding extra heatsink on top of the already existing heatsing for the PPC). To fit this in the A1200 desctop I had to add extra high feets to the system.

The BlizzVision is a hot little {bleep}. You know if you overclock it slightly it risks unsoldering itself that's how hot it gets. It's not sugested for a desctop at all and even in a tower it realy like a heatsink at least... That said it can be put in a desctop but I sugest heatsink and a fan to keep the Phermidia2 chip cool.

It's possible to uppgrade the 040 to 060 yes but as the CPU is soldered onto the card it's one heck of a work to do, I've been sugested 140$ just for the work replacing the CPU... then you need to find a CPU socket wich isn't easy (don't want to solder directly on the 060) and you need the 060 CPU also. If you want to go all the way with a 060 (these are of cause cooler than the 040 and should be more suitable for the desctop) then buy the 060 from the start cause the uppgrade can easily cost more than the 040 board itself.
