Make SURE it is plugged in all the way.  I thought mine was, and it wasn't.  I had vertical bars that looked like looking out of a jail cell, and pink flashes when I moved the mouse.  I carefully "adjusted" the pins, and pressed so hard the motherboard was bending, and it snapped in.  All is well now.  It can be VERY hard to plug in.  Just be careful and don't bend any pins or break the socket.

Yeah, we need an update.  I hope you got it.  Like I said in my earlier post, I was very frustrated with mine, until I discovered it wasn't plugged in all the way, but after I figured that out (with help from this board), it is working great.  If it was a bad one, I hope you got another one.  Let us know what you found out.

Same exact problem here.  Push until the MB flexes, going against all that you think is right, and it finally snapped into place.  All is well now.
