CyberGraphX has an option to disable Native video when an RTG screen is front most. I imagine P96 has something similar, but I don't know if it will do so to the electrical extent required by your monitor.

Native/RTG switching has long been a neglected problem. The early graphics cards had built in switchers but later ones didn't. There have been a few hobby auto switchers, but none widely commercially available.
