I'll run with this.

So er, how's everyones harddrive doing?

:p

Kinda slow, actually. Anyone got any tips for a Compact Flash drive in a 2000 on a 2091 controller? Could bad termination be slowing things down? We're talking transfer rates in the 90K/s range.

You using an accelerator?  2091 only has SCSI, right?  What's your converter?

Yup, got a A2630 with heaps of RAM. 2091 is SCSI only (also with full complement of RAM), and driving a native SCSI card reader.

What about Mask and Max Transfer rates for a 2091?

I was just thinking. Would I be able to get Amix working on my 600 with Accelerator I have installed?

I don't think so. Amix has very limited hardware/driver support. It might start to boot, but it probably won't recognize the onboard IDE as a 2091 or the A3000's onboard SCSI, so you'll be without a hard drive. I think there's a good chance it won't recognize the accelerator's RAM, either.

Fair enough. Just thought I would ask as it seemed interesting. Maybe I could emulate it?

WinUAE might be able to do it these days. I recall that Amix needs an MMU, which WinUAE didn't emulate for a long time, but I think it does now. And it definitely has 2091 emulation.
