Heh. I've been looking for one for similar usage for years with no luck.

The other solution might be to replace the EC030 on a Commodore 3630 with a full 030 (my 3000 is only the 16MHz model so even 25MHz would be an improvement for me). I wonder if that board could handle a 50MHz crystal?

@ Failure

It's functional, but I haven't had the time or space to use it much lately. Also no clock battery + Y2K issues makes it annoying to deal with. Any luck with getting the patch disk working with the hard disk image install?

3630s seem to be fairly common (and cheap as far as Amiga accelerators go). I've definitely seen a large handful up for sale over the past few years. And yes, the CPUs are surface mounted so they'd require a somewhat major rework. I don't have the skill for it and I haven't been willing to spend the cash to have a professional do it (as well as find a compatible 030 chip).

Looking at the photos from the BBoAHW however, it's hard to tell if the crystal socket is for the CPU or FPU...
