The X-Surf is actually a mini-bridgeboard with a soldered-on ISA network card. So it's possible that the bridge circuitry on your card is damaged, or that test program is just spilling out a bunch of nonsense.

Have you put x-surf.device in DEVS:Networks? Try configuring a TCP/IP stack and see what happens.

Something else to consider - what machine are you trying to use it in? My X-Surf wasn't recognized at all in the Winner ZIV busboard.
