You can keep cancelling the env: requesters or just "assign env: ram:" before "loadwb".

Also, try copying the original startup-sequence from your Workbench boot disk (not the install disk) to s: (backing up your old one, of course) and, so long as your user-startup was unchanged, you should be good to go.

If you had anything (such as VisualPrefs) installed in your old startup-sequence, they will be replaced, but they should be easy to recover if you tell us what's missing after you get back your booting.

EDIT:
To edit the startup-sequence, try typing "ed s:startup-sequence".  Edit is a 'line-editor', and I have personally never understood it... :-P
