@gurthuk

I fancy max'ing out an A600 for some reason, if only to play with Deluxe Paint or Stunt Car Racer.

Could I attach a CD-ROM via the onboard IDE?

First.......I want to start by letting you know..... Deluxe Paint was dethroned by Brilliance as the Best 2D paint program for Amiga.......get Brilliance 2.0

Second.........Yes, You can add a CDROM drive........get a SlimlieDVDROM drive for Laptops if you can and then fit it inside the A600.  (Thats what Im doing :-))

I fancy upgrading my A600 too :-)   Already got a 4mb PCMCIA, a Slimline CDROM, MASPLayer MP3 Decoder, 4.5gb HD (Gonna replace with an 80gig)  I used to have an Apollo 630......dying to get one back...........ther will be new ones coming....but the board has to have a different shape so that one can fit it and a CDROM internally and still keep the Floppydrive and HD still inside.

I have a basic design idea in mind that will work beautifully and support all old processors, allow one to fit all I have said including USB ports and the Clockport upgrade for the A600.

CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...
