It's not really thought out and it will look pretty bad IMHO. You should try to fuse tattoo design and Amiga/ Commodore symbolics rather than just slap something on the arm.

And remember: less is more.

People can grow tired of anything; like life partners, careers, having children or not etc. So I don't think you should worry too much about "what if I don't want it in the future?" Yeah, what if? As long as you remember that it made sense when you did it it's OK.

But it is permanent, so chose carefully.

I'll take your advice, thanks. How about just a single character like Zool or Turrican. How would that look? Cheers.

It's really hard to tell. It depends on the design and the skill of the tattooist.

First, decide on what style you want: old scool, new school, realistic, black and gray, cartoon etc. And bear in mind that you might want to add more tattoos in the future so you shouldn't mix styles. It will look bad. Chose one and stick with it.

Just adding pictures of various styles will look terrible. And not in a good, self ironic way.

Second, ask a good and experienced tattooist how he/she can incorporate your desired image with the style in question. So that not just the tattoo will look good but it will also look good at the place you want it.

Third, when you get a proposed design: really really think about it. If you are not 100% sure you want it, go for something else.

Forth, always pay the price the tattooist of choice is demanding. If he's/she's good, he/she is worth it! If you haggle with the price he/she will probably not respect you and that might affect the outcome of the tattoo. And don't take another tattooist design and ask a cheaper tattooist to do it instead. It's not just rude, it's also a sure way of getting a crappy tattoo. Cheaper tattooists are cheaper for a reason. Even if they might be skilled enough, they might not care about hygene. And nothing destroys a tattoo more than a nasty infection.
