Those are good choices as HP drivers have remained pretty constant (especially for the InkJet) over the years, but stay away from any serial port printers.

Using a LPT2USB device (http://www.lpt2usb.net/) allows access to newer USB connected printers; it does this externally and transparent to the Amiga. And of course with the Plipbox parallel Ethernet device you can get an A500 both online and have access to network printers.

If the LJ4 is out, I guess that disqualifies this, as well?  ;)

I dunno, is it networked or USB?

@ apsturk

I've been eyeing the modern LaserJet M401dne as a possible replacement for my LJ4. It supports PCL5, PCL6, and PostScript so I would think it would be Amiga-compatible from a driver perspective (bizarrely, though, it is more power hungry than the old LJ4). Let us know how things go with your LaserJets!

@ danbeaver

Nice find on that adapter. Thanks!

I used one for a couple of years until I set up a real network and connected that way; now just an Ethernet cord coming off the back.:)
