Matt has a couple of good points, so let me clarify. The Dell ST series (I have an ST2310L) are nice flat screens that will sync to 15khz once you get the correct signals into them. The Indivision ECS is a $100 scan doubler/flicker fixer that puts out a 31khz screen with a few changeable options.   The cheap GBS-8220 stuff on eBay will give a crappy 31khz screen, but using a SCART cable to a SCART-to-HDMI (you would need an HDMI to DVI adapter) will give a quite nice large screen output for about $75. The Microway FlickerFixer and the A2320 card fit the A2000's video slot and will also give a standard VGA output. Don't buy the eBay "15khz to RGB YUV video" piece of junk. It will give you a composite quality picture.

The AmigaKit 23-pin Amiga to 15-pin VGA only works for AGA Amigas, so don't be tempted.

The best option for the Amiga 2000 is the Indivision ECS

Well I'm glad we heard from someone who has no financial incentive for giving us such sage advice.

I always forget about the SCART option. Too bad it's Europe only - would make things a lot easier here in the States. If I ever visit Europe, I'm bringing a SCART flatscreen back with me!

A word about the Microway, though - it only handles NTSC *or* PAL, depending on the particular unit. It can't do both.

Dude, HDMI is digital so you just need an RGB to "upscaling converter" to get there. I just found it easier to use a Amiga-2-SCART cable and then the $45 device off eBay to get 1080p output. My systems are NTSC and it works pretty well even in interlace.

You could get a graphics card with VGA connector on it. Many of them convert the signal to the proper 31 khz. Look at "The Big Book OF Amiga Hardware" sites...

Yes but requires a hard drive, about $200, and do not do well with a stock 68000.  :)

Dan,

Not sure if that is called for.  Given the requirements that the OP gave, the advice I gave is the best option, unless you know of another solution.

Solutions, options, and opinions given without commercial bias.

scart give good results on crt, with lcd, led... upscale is terrible.

Not really; the SCART-to-HDMI adapter from China (eBay) works pretty well.

Blame my cell phone camera for the tint:
