Well I have the US version, but I'm sure that the 9-pin is universal so it should work fine with a C128 as mine do. SCART is a lovely (all be it French) idea, but we NTSC folks like our French fries and dressings, not electronic standards. Go with the SCART, as I understand it analogue interfaces are not long for this world.

I'm sorry but I bet you are asking if the DB9-pin DIN is the same as the 9-pin round DIN, and yes they are

That is true; the C128 signal was as CGA and thus TTL.  The DB9 versions had a switch for RGB vs Analogue. There was an 8-pin Round TTL video (and a 6-pin Round RGB) version to confuse the issue. I suppose that if a SCART is included then the Amiga goes there and if there is a round 8-pin version the C128 goes there. On mine I just flip a switch on the 9-pin DB connector depending on what is connected. I have an Amiga to SCART cable for use on TVs but I've not seen one for a CBM monitor.

Which connector is better?  I think a DB9 that one can screw the cable to so it does not fall out is better.

I've got two US not UK monitors with 9-pin DB (i.e., "D" shaped) connectors.
