There is a "erberg2010" selling a "New In Box" 4000/030 for $1200 who wants everyone to believe that the mustard colored from plastics occurred from light that spilled into the box via cracks.

Well after all it is "new" with a punctured seal and "never been opened;" and there are other fairy tales yet to be told!

I think half of eBay sellers are looking for the same gift...

I received this message on eBay (for an A1200):

What is the difference between this unit and the Amigo 1300? Also, this says it was made in France. Well I'm not an idiot, Amiga is Spanish. How do I know this wasn't made in a sweat shop in Mexico? If I buy this, I would like to upgrade the GPU to run Halo, since the stock one you have sucks. Would you consider knocking the price down some? Also, $40 is too much to ship. I would be willing to pay you half of that price. Insurance not necessary. Let me know, very interested.

"My name is Earl Scheib, and I can paint that Commodore for $29.95!"

Plus I'm sure you can have a place mat custom made for less than 60 bucks.

Yeah, and doesn't look like it tastes very minty.  I'd say its liver is shot and the icterus is secondary to cirrhosis.

Yup, I could almost buy two X1000's for the price of an ad-on to a CD32.

Pay close attention, its power button is gone and as is, doesn't even work.

Here is a good one: $797 for an A1000

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-1000-vintage-Commodore-computer-very-early-unit-/380872830530?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item58adca2e42

The description:  "Unit is in fair used condition with a fair amount of scratches and a couple of deep gouges on the top cover....it's a Rev 6 board ... Top cover includes signatures of the design team. From the missing logos and IDs it looks like a early model or prototype."

Or its been beat to hell!

Every TV repairman is eager to repair old TVs and monitors: no SMDs, easy to replace capacitors, no imbedded processors.  All they can do with modern equipment is swap out boards IF they can find a replacement.  But a CRT that has lasted 30 years will likely last another.

Odd, it says it is a "Debug" board -- I assume a prototype testing board (?)
