@KatManDEW,
Always good to see someone new, um, old at the party.
Depending on the card you have you may have trouble getting a X-Surf to work. I had a heck of a time on my GeForce 030/40Mhz.
Maybe it's a firmware thing.

@KatManDEW,
Depends on what card. My G-Force will only handle 16Mb max so I have to keep one slot empty to account for PIV. I'll bet your card can handle more.

@KatManDEW,
"Can I expand the chip RAM on my A2000?"
Yes, I put a DKB Megachip in mine. You'll have to keeps your eyes busy, they are not that common anymore but I still see them from time to time.

@KatManDEW,
"Does it help?"
It helps a whole bunch, especially if your running OS3.5 or
3.9 with hi or truecoler screens. The environment runs a little large.

@KatManDEW,
2 meg is all can get or will need, the extra fast will get your DMA rocking and that is where the real horsepower is.
Have fun is the main thing. I hope you still have a good stash of software.

OS3.9 is nicer and you can still find it.

@KatManDEW,
There are some download site out there. The best other place is in the forums here and AmigaWorld or of course E-Bay.

@KatManDEW,
For some reason I had better luck with "Make CD" Than I did with "Burn It". "Frying Pan" May be the least expensive.
