You may be pushing the limit on hd size for that OS ver. I had a simaler problem when I switched from 1Gb quantem to 18Gb seagate. What HD Tools saw and what was there was not the same. there still maybe something with the scsi card that may allow you to partition it. Once thats done your ok.
