Some mentioned they thought the CS-PPC was a DCE model because there is a "DCE quality" sticker on the front. The back shows Phase5 1997 though :-? I've assumed it is a Phase 5 model, and the sticker is only because DCE has always been the production line even in P5 days.
-
It's a DCE card.
DCE came from the ashes of phase 5 (sort of) - so they couldn't have existed at the same time.
My DCE card has (c)1997 phase 5 on it, while this CS-PPC: http://amiga.resource.cx/photos/photo.pl?id=cyberstormppc doesn't have the DCE tag.

I'd buy the Cyberstorm but what grants me that it can be fixed, and that the price is feasible... Do you have any idea of what might be the problem?

I have no idea the problem TBH. This wasn't my board, I got it in a lot of Amiga hardware I recently purchased. However if you look at the full size pics you will see there is no visibal damage. I seriously doubt there is any terminal issues with it.

Ok. I doubt that I'll win, but I'll keep an eye on it... 8-)

Less than 24 hours :-)

I wouldnt bother with it. We all know the issue from the thread from hell here about DCE fixing them. Its so much to get it fixed that you would be better off just looking for a working one.
On another note make sure you all take note of the person that wins that auction for the CSPPC card. It wouldnt surprise me in the least bit to see it posted on ebay a week later as a working CSPPC card up for sale "untested" from lack of an Amiga after all the years blah blah but worked fine when pulled and stored away. I've seen this done and we all know how many scammers are out to get Amiga users with PPC stuff latley.

Who said anything about DCE repairing it? I wouldn't recomend that. I recomended Hyperion's repair service which I've yet to hear a complaint about.

Dear lord. It seems that these cards are so badly wanted, that people are willing to pay huge $$$ for defective ones as well. :-o
Nice one Red. Surely the price went way above your expectations. ;-)
-
Wow! It went over $300? That great for a dead card. Like I said look out in the near future for an "untested" CSPPC for sale on ebay.
