One of our cats died yesterday.
She had Lukaemia and eventually we had to call the vet to the house to put her down - not an easy decision.
I found it weirdly indicative of our culture that it costs more to kill a cat on a Sunday.
Anyway, she was a lovely cat and will be missed.
We buried her at the bottom of the garden.

I'm sorry to hear that Wilse. I've lost a cat recently whom I was very fond of too...
My condolences.

@Wilse,
So so sorry to hear that, I know the attachment these strange quadrapeds can hold on us, and we on them.
If theres anything I can do, just ask (I'm pretty sure I could catch one of the ferels living in the next block if you *really* wanted another) :-o

@Wilse,
As a person who's allowed to live in a home which actually belongs to three cats, you have my condolences.
Our first feline companion, Samantha (a black shorthair) passed away at age 12+ of a combination of old age and irritation (at the new kitten) shortly before we left New Orleans. I still find myself looking for her today and she is the basis by which all my current cats are judged.
We drove all the way home, 6+ hours because we wanted specifically to bury her at home rather than a place like New Orleans.
