Looking good Virgola,
Definately better to look at than those round knobbed ones..
 Just one personal preference,
I`d like to see them angled more (maybe simple isometric?), so you`d have more space on the top for a logo, that wood/Duff one is a bit hard to read on that perspective.

I just had a good moan on another thread about how I hated these new
small, flat coloured NewIcons style things and I see this...

These are beautiful and I'd pay money for them!

:-) :-) :-)

Please don't turn them isometric, they are really nice looking
straight at them.

Who opens a draw from 45° anyway!

;-) ;-)

Those look like what every MagicWB user has wanted for a 24-Bit system
for the last few years (but has hated NewIcons/PNG) etc.

Keep working on those, and have them animate closing when you click on
them (or opening when you click rather!).

We need more 3D looking icons, icons that feel good to click on rather
than those flat, miserable thumbnails that WinXP and MacOS use. Give
us something chunky!

Well Done!

:-D :-D :-D

Bottom line is this: They look good, but everyone has differing tastes... so I would expect a large percentage of people to dislike them. I think each icon pack is liked quite intensely by about 20 percent of the userbase, and hated by the other 80 percent.

So bearing this in mind, the following comment wont mean anything, but I'll say it anyway.. I love them. :)

@Virgola,

I really like them.

They look great, especially the wooded "stuff" drawer and the mixing desk "prefs" drawer.

It would be interesting to see what you came come up with for Tools, EnvArc and Internet drawers too.

Do keep us posted here.

Wow.  If I remember right, I managed to fire off a note to Mason saying the 'real' problem is finding room to 'brand' the drawer in the same way that OS X and Windows are now branding folders...  (Which should really be an OS service, etc, etc...)

These sure addressed that. (http://www.amiga.org/images/subject/icon25.gif)

I'd love to see an isometric version for the heck of it, but definitely make a backup of them as they are!  Especially those caution-striped ones...

Another thought is that (for the non-colorblind among us) it's probably important to preserve a standard color for drawer/folder-class icons that isn't used in other classes.  Folders have the advantage of being "manilla;" drawers didn't matter so much in 4 colors, but now they're at a relative disadvantage, though the 3.5? isometric set did well there.

---

Crazy, ridiculous, don't listen to me thought:  What if Workbench grouped drawers into a 'filing cabinet' by default?  Drawers down one side of the window, maybe with the option of a dividing line (vertical rule), objects of another type off to the right or left?

I really like these drawers too. Love the flat look, especially the wood!

Looking forward to get my grubby mits on them!

Thanks for the effort.
