Hum,
i just noticed the Elbox advert (http://shop.elbox.com/cgibin/shop?show=9SP) on the banner-bit of this forum...
What a refreshingly novel (and commercial) approach...
loads of `stuff` from Elbox before>

Many years ago, my dad was in Ireland on St. Patrick's Day. A particular pub was doing an offer where you would pick a piece of paper out of a bucket at the bar, it would have a year number on it, and you would pay for the drinks based on what price they were that year.
Just imagine, a pint of Guinness for a couple of pence...

@mikeymike
hum, better than paying prices based on the year, (say) £20.04 p.....

not yet around £1.20 to 2.00 unless blair and his goverment increase the tax upto petrol standards. :-D

:-o
Where I live £2.00 is considered a cheap pint!
Guinness and Stella will set you back about £2.60.
And when I lived in London, £3.00 for a pint was quite common, and that was a couple of years back!

So
do ppl still drink petrol nowadays?

£1.20 for a pint??? :-o :-o :-o In Dublin, in some of the "Trendy" bars, you can pay well over €5 for a pint. Average daytime prices are around €4-€4.50, that's around £3 sterling!

So, we're all off to Amigamad's local then...:-)
