Hey all I need a solution because I can't be bothered to keep taking my P.C monitor from the desk and replacing it with a T.V just so I can use my amiga, does anybody know where I can buy a Multisync monitor or Scandoubler/flickerfixer in the U.K ?
Thanks!

I have a vga adapter that supposedly will let you hook up ANY AMIGA to a PC monitor. I'll try it out..I'm going to hook up my A500 to it.. (I dont need the adapter)

Yeah but those things won't display most modes used in games and things will they..?

Nope.
I think it would be better to go for the SD/FF. Standard SVGA monitors are cheap and easily replaceable.

Those small adaptors only forward the video signal that is coming @ 31kHz from Amiga side. And you can only do that when you're in Workbench and using the Monitor drivers which suit to these. Like DBLPAL/DBLNTSC, Euro36, Super72 etc. But Amiga PAL/NTSC output is 15kHz and PC monitors commonly use 30kHz. Some Multisync monitors support 15kHz too.
Many (old) Amiga games want PAL/NTSC screen. So you need a Scandoubler/Flickerfixer. A simple VGA adaptor won't work :-(

I dont know how good it works.. I will test it tonight on a plain jane A500 and a few games.
