Well. Here I am bored one night on the Net and I come across this website. Frankly I am amazed to find a whole community out there devoted to Amiga fellowship after all these years.
I got my first Amiga in 1986, a 1000 and I think I must have just about killed myself trying to beat various incarnations of Ultima along the way. I learnt 68000 assembler on this machine, game cracking and various languages. Still the best computer I've ever used and I still have it, except it's stored on another continent somewhere with my VIC-20. :-D
I'm from NZ but got my Ami in the US when I was living there. I took it back to NZ and ran a BBS for a couple of years - all this without a HD. I finally hackneyed together an interface and an old IBM 10MB HD to increase the file storage space over the single floppy!! Fun times.
Well hi all and looking forward to chatting to everyone. :-)

Yah rite! Like you're ever there! :-P. Well, you're always there but only switching between 'Argo' and 'Argo_AFK', I dare you to speak and prove that you're more than a bot! ;-).
Oh and welcome new guy :-)

Welcome aboard... Lots of Amiga folks here to talk to. I bought my A1000 back in 86 or so... lots of fun... I still have it along with a couple others glommed for spare parts. I put in a ROM switcher to run 2.0, and had an external hard drive in a Phoenix expansion box. The 2000 replacement is still used sometimes.. but I'm waiting for OS4 and the A1 to stabilize a bit first.
