Off to Sweden for the Pre-Release Party. I've been warned beer costs more in Sweden than what I earn in a year..
I have:
1 litre of Stella,
2 litres of Grolsch
and half a litre of Hoegardden.
Its a low weight limit though... and Im not leaving the beer :-) Tis gonna be a {bleep} to get to the airport as my lift can no longer take me- but its cool cos I'm on Schedule and Rocking :-D
(Just hope the planes, trains and automobiles are :-D )

WTF? There's a pre-release party in Malmö??? Where? When? :-?

There you go dude :-)

Unless I'm misreading something, it seems to take place in the vast metropolis of Landskrona, some 70 km north of Malmö. Population: about half that of Skittyhorpe. ;)
You could stock up on cheaper beer in Denmark (or maybe let the nice Scanians who live a quick tour with the ferry away from Liberty in the West do it for you) and thus avoid feeding our Peace-Loving Alcohol Monopoly.
-
'beers' in sweden are not really that expensive. The problem is really that 'beer' in sweden is water with a tiny bit of beer in it.
Sincerely,
-Kenneth Straarup.

Ah - well this stuff is 5% and over. Was gonna bring some real Ale, but thats like Grogg in Monkey Island, and I dont have enough pewter jugs to last the journey... :-D
-
Argh! Verdammt! :-x
Too bad I didn't know about this earlier; my entire evening is booked! It's only 30 minutes by bus. :-(
Well, Bobson,
If you need a guided tour of Helsingborg (25 km to the north of Landskrona) tomorrow, then drop a mail! :-)
-
Hahaha. Now I have to find my monkey island disks :=)
Sincerely,
-Kenneth Straarup.

If the stories I`ve heard about Bobson are true, that lot won`t even last the flight :-P

Not long ago, half of customers at Tornio's (Finnish city near Sweden-Finland border) Alko (Finnish alcohol shop) were Swedish.
Go figure :-)

So thats where everyone went ...
-
@Bobson
I will _probably_ be there from sometime saturday, will also bring some beer. Guess your 3.5 litre wont last long after all I heard about you (quite a reputation you have haha..).
Just hope I will be able to find the place. As I wont be by car I will have a hard time looking for the place all over town like me and Guyver did with AmiGBG :-)
See you guys there!

Alas I didnt have a net connection so couldnt take you up on your kind offer. It would have been cool to have seen the place. Thanks to all who put on the show it was a cool event.
As for my rep and drinking its all lies. I dont get hammered that often at all ;-) I also drink it for the taste :-)
I think I should have brought more beer.

Eric Idol said exactly the same about American Beer :-D

Not going to try defend the swedish beer cause it's mostly p*ss but there are a few that are very good.
Buying a good beer in the supermarket is almost impossible, not only is there a limit of maximum 3.5% alcohol but it's also almost impossible to find a dark or even a medium dark beer there. Only way to get a good beer is to go to the "Systembolaget" as they have more brands and kinds of beer, locals aswell as foreign.
I myself love a dark beer when I'm at the pub or enjoying an evening with friends... lighter beer is ok but that's more for food or when one is thirsty... but if no other options are available what can one do? :pint:

When Weddon and I went to get Pizza I tried a couple in that bar - the owner wouldnt let me take it off site, I had to drink it there. It was good stuff. I dont know the name though but it was crisp, and swedish.
