And it sure does look nice...

Ok all.. there has been alot of interest but its still not sold yet. So, if you want a tremendous computer that will meet all your computer needs and allow you to run Amiga software faster than you've ever seen here's your chance!
magnetic

Damn that is sexy.
-
@magnetic
At $850 USD would be around $1,231.88 AUD....

Even faster than a pentium IV @ 3.06 GHz running UAE?
lol
-
Actually yes, as all software uses the NATIVE MorphOS libraries... :-)
-
I have a 3GHZ (or I will for another few days at least) and my Pegasos is much faster at running Amiga apps then WinUAE on it yes! You should try one out.
-

Sure.
-
I'm thinking of trying out a pegasos running Amiga stuff.
Cant think of any sizeable application to test it with though? Any ideas?

I'll bite, what are the timed benchmarks?

Your a dealer aren't ya?
Why leech free advertisin thruogh the forums?

Are there any benchmarks that UAE doesn't "optimize" right out to the point of being invalid?
I can say this, though. UAE seems to hit a ceiling on faster machines. I have a P4 3.0C edition with 1GB of OCZ low-latency DDR-400 set up in dual channel mode (effective 800mhz FSB). This thing is the fastest single processor Windows/Linux box I've ever seen. (Yeah, yeah, I know the 3.0C has the HT option that SHOWS two processor fronts to the OS, but it's still a single core...)
Anyhow, WinUAE doesn't run appreciably faster than it did on my 1.1ghz Athlon T-Bird that featured pathetic PC-133 SDRAM!

I think that's exactly what he meant by 'timed' benchmarks.
ie: It takes 24 seconds to render a picture using Imagine in WinUAE and it takes 35 seconds rendering the same picture using the same program in MorphOS.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH
CHANGE THE AVATAR :-o

@dammy
Here is a link to an old review of Peg1 and MOS 1.3 with benchmarks WITHOUT JIT - So use this as a VERy rough guide as Peg2 is MUCh faster and has JIT...

@Cannonfodder
You are such a troll. Its boring
-
Thomas,
As an individual, selling one item, it's fine for you to put it here in the forums -- though I've moved it to the eBay forum. Since you are a dealer however, actively promoting your platform and not just this individual sale, you need to recognize that there is a thin line that you are standing on between using AO as an individual, and abusing it as a dealer.
Note the posting guidelines in regards to spamming:
http://www.amiga.org/modules/sections/index.php?op=viewarticle&artid=6
However, you should already know that. In reference to Cannonfodder's comment, I see nothing that could be considered "trolling" whatsoever, albeit stated with a little less tact than you're probably used to. We would, in fact, welcome your advertisement should you decide to be serious about selling your items.

What? You don't like 'BuckMaster' ??
BuckMaster says, "You DO NOT know what you are TALKING ABOUT when it comes to the PROFESSIONAL Pegasos II !!!"

I don't know very much about benchmarking, and this is probably not the optimal benchmarking software (which probably has been discussed already, which I have missed), but:
http://www.volny.cz/luky-amiga/Benchmarks.html (http://www.volny.cz/luky-amiga/Benchmarks.html)
However, the Pegasos/MorphOS system itself, as well as any Amiga applications I have tried on it up to this date, *feels* so much faster on the Pegasos. Amiga Forever feels dead-sluggish on my Athlon2800+ system in comparison, and that is *really* sluggish! This is my honest opinion.
And we have not even seen the Altivec yet ... :-o :-D
-
@amigaguy
Very funny.
-
This Peagsos 2 system is still available for sale! The buyer backed out.
SO HERE IS YOUR CHANCE!
:-)

I am not a "dealer" I am not listed on genesi's website. This is my personal machine. Nowadays there are no Amiga dealers either there is no money in it. I am liquidating my Amiga inventory as the market is tiny .... besides I have no time to update my website..
ps Whatever happened to the classified section? And why move it to the ebay forum when its not an ebay item?
magnetic
:-?
-
I find it terribly tacky to sell things here when 1. you arent an advertiser 2. you havent donated anything to keep it alive 3. you are selling non amiga things ( this might bother pegasos folks but its called pegasos not amiga and this isnt pegasos.org ). The people who run this place work very hard and its a labor of love by your own admission you dont love amigas (the market is to small) its a means to money for you. If you dont like the market leave because WE are THE MARKET.
-
Hi magnetic,
I'm very much interested in buying.
Rest is by PM...
-
If you dont like the market leave because WE are THE MARKET.
There is no thing called "Amiga market". Only few random buyers.
-
Almost everyone here owns an Amiga, and I bet almost everyone here buys amiga stuff at least every 3 months.....hmmmm sounds like a market to me.
-
If you're no longer a dealer, then this page is very interesting.
http://magneticsystemsnyc.com/Pegasos.htm
If you're not a dealer any more, then accept my apologies and change your page.
The classifieds module was taken down because it was full of bugs which started sending out hundreds of notices to the people who used it.
"e-bay" is the closest forum we've got to this, and if I were you, I'd just e-bay the thing and be done with it.
