Think this was a good buy:

Well, that depends on if it boots, what condition it's in, and what else in that thing when it arrives. It looks like it was a bit of a crapshoot, but it could be a find of the century if it turns out to be in good condition and have an 060 or Video Toaster, or who knows what else... The guy latched onto the word "Toaster" from somewhere.....
-
He also did a fairly obvious job of omitting the card slots in the photo. I love it when ebayers act stupid and ignorant so they can avoid being honest.
This guy knew to look at the model of the drive (ie: he had the machine open) but didn't think to look at the cards in the slots....uh huh...right.....

Recieved additional Pics. Everything seems intact
-
Amazing deal. Someone got really lucky on this one.

I figure for $200.00 its worth a shot. Either its dead or one hell of a bargin....
-
I just had a feeling that If I didn't buy it I'd always wonder "What If" I'll let you all know it's condition when it arrives...

My 4000T just arrived...
Guess what complete with toaster card.
Boots right up.. 040 card 16 meg of Ram
HD floppy and 1 gig HD..
Case and Motherboard in excellent condition.
Extra rails are on the way.
I guess you can say I stole it all for $200.00

Way to go! :-)
We'll see in a matter of few weeks if I successfully pulled a similar stunt. A working CSPPC 060/200Mhz board for 100EUR that "should" work. The owner tested it in his Micronik 1200 Z3 busboard and it didn't report any memory installed, so he is getting rid of it for 100EUR with this warning. It seems like it is the fault of the A1200 busboard, so it is likely to work fine in an actual A4000, which I'll find out soon. :-)

@x56h34
Thanks.... Hope all goes well with your CSPPC

That case looks like the VT setup they had at Florida State University a few years ago (behind a door with a print-out of Eric Schwartz's "Survivor (http://www.coax.net/people/erics/AGrass.htm)" taped to it.) It had a Flyer in it. Does yours?
-
Yes it has a flyer also.
It has id sticker on the side Gov. proptery div FAA

It's Official Post # 100 May not seem like alot to many but it's a start for me.....
-
Wow... Genuine A4000T with Toaster4000 and Flyer? Sheesh. That WAS a good steal. well done. lucky so-and-so. ;-)

About 2 months ago I scored two Amiga Toaster 4000's, with 040's, 16MB, GVP I/O, keyboards, mice and a Toaster 2000, 030/25, IDE card, GVP I/O, MegAChip 2000, and Amiga 1084D2 and Amiga 1080 monitors. All working and in fine shape except for the leaking batteries and minor RTC damage on the 4000's, but I fixed them. I did a buy it now for $300. There was only 1 pic of a 4000 face so I did not know what I was getting. But I think I did ok. Did I do good? ;)
-
OK it's all done. 4000T with a CSMKIII 060 ...Toaster 4000
144 megs of ram... Cybergrafx 3D\64 with Scan Doubler. Delphina Pro.. XSurf 2.. 2 10gig HDs .. 52x burner..
Total cost 480.00
Now I'm off for more Bargin hunting
BTW Will have an A3000...and more for sale shortly
