Title: PPC970/G5 Liquid Cooling System
Post by: danamania on June 13, 2004, 10:42:51 AM
OK, OK, most of my posts are only rather vaguely linked to Amigas any more, and this one even less so - but I thought it cool enough (literally!) to post about.

G5 cooling system by itself (http://www.danamania.com/temp/g5liquid.jpg)

 G5 cooling system installed (http://www.danamania.com/temp/insitu.jpg)

Two photos of the G5s cooling system. A mix of Heatpipes & fins for the voltage regulators/clock generating circuitry (I think) and pumped liquid cooling through a rather large radiator & liquid block covering the entire of the two CPU cards for the CPUs themselves.
