I don`t know about differences,Mine is labeled as ATI Radeon 8500
AR2L-B3 it have Composite video TV output, VGA output and
DVI output;Also 64Mb DDR.i do not understand for what is the DVI connector,because i had
also a LG TFT flat 15" monitor and it had standard VGA connector.
-
Well, from the specs available, I guess that number 2 or 3 would be preferrable, as I think the 9100 has a Radeon 8500, rather than the slower LE version. Yet, number 1 is the most expensive. Confusing...
Chances are I'll go with number 2, as I've never heard of Connect3D (ie. it must be a bad brand :-P).

Hmmm, seems the 9100 is a bit more difficult to get hold of.....well here anyway! :-(
-
At last!!! i have found the desired tower for my AmigaOne,here it is:
(http://www.appinformatica.com/fichas/torres/grande/tunning_transparenteg.jpg)
And also here is from a dealer near my house,so maybe tomorrow i`ll be there for buying it!!
Now searching for nice keyboard & mice...
-
@L8-X:
No problem finding it here. In fact, I found more 9100 branded models than 8500 ones when I searched earlier today.
@Ami603:
Nice! I'll probably go for the one below. Cheap, light, elegant, quiet and well built, according to reviews.

Hey! No fair! My Radeon 8500 Mac edition has 64 ddr or whatever it is. How did that happen? My card isn't a limited edition either, WTF is going on here? :-o

I'm sorry to say, but it seems you have yesteryear's technology. 64MB? I doubt you could even boot with that...:-P
Seriously, though, I think it was the 8500LE which used to come with 128MB, while the faster 8500 usually came with 64MB. With the relabelling to "9100", 128MB seems to be the trend for most cards though.

So Mike and i have faster cards than 8500LE 128Mb ones,
or not?

Not all flatscreen monitors come with a DVI connector, but for the ones that do it supposedly gies a better picture (Digital).
Talking of Radeon cards, I already have a Radeon in my PC which I would like to use in an A1 if I got one, but it isn't a 8000 or whatever. I think its a Radeon 'VE' - do these work too or is it completely different?

My new long-missed buddy! Good to see you back! While awaiting my A1G4XE myself, i guess the last choice may be better. That's quite an interesting choice..I will look closer on that..:-)
Good to see you again!:-)

Yep, thats a nice case. We sell those where I work (in the silver like you show, and in black) But it's a slightly different style (almost identical though) except our version comes with or without lights down the front it looks like this:
(http://www.electroseller.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/galaxy.jpg) With front lights. The window kit on the side is the same as our cases though.
(http://store6.yimg.com/I/dealsonic_1726_9214853)This is the same case in silver without lights on the front.
(http://store6.yimg.com/I/dealsonic_1725_3818975)And this is it in black and silver without the front lights.
-
I did go for choice number 2, too:-)!!!
-
And what opinion you have about the case itself?
its robust? easy of mount?
-
Hmmmm - a discussion on computer cases under the subject heading "which of these Radeons".......interesting...
Oh well, personally I hate great big tower systems - I prefer small, compact systems (like mini-itx for example)

I think so, yes.
@Helgis75:
Hey, I've been here for a while. I'm not as active as before, though. I'm trying to devote more time to other stuff this semester (working on my game, improving my judo, learning Spanish:-)).

@ab2cv
I imagine the VE should work with the A1, cos those are the low end cards Eyetech are selling. 7000VE that is.
this is what I have ordered - it is a 32MB DDR card with DVI/TV out, and it only cost 40 quid. which is nice.
-
@Agafaster
Yeah, that sounds like an identical spec to the card that I've got. As you say, nice low price, and it gives me smooth DVD playback under W2k at the moment. (dunno how good it is for games and stuff though coz thats what my ps1 is for these days!).
-
@KAY:
I can help you with learning Spanish if you can do the same
with my english ;)

I hope that Ami603 can manage to keep his car in the garage not driving away from him! :-D :-o :-P
-
@Ami603:
Thanks, but I'm not on a level where I can communicate very much in Spanish yet, especially not in writing :-). Hopefully I will have learned some more before my summer holiday to La Manga, though. :-D
Your English seems to be very good, anyway, as far as I can judge.

Thank you, buddy! And good luck with your Spanish! I try hard to write as correct as possible...
Anyway, i hope they can deliver the AmigaOne-mobos soon enough..I will keep informed...
As you see, i have also become a Technoid...-) Impressive stuff, isn't it? :-D :-)

What? my car on the garage???
Never!!!!
I`ll show it around the world :-D
here it is:
(http://www.terra.es/personal8/ami603/imagenes/coche.jpg)
Ok,ok, maybe it`s slow, but pleasant driving and some
"Amigaized" feeling that is.
:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D
-
Nice car! :-D

The logo has cutted on vinyl on a industrial plotter.
It needs to be exposed directly at sun for about 10 years
before start losing colour,and for the Windows lovers,
it is placed indoor,safe of wrong hands :-D

That car looks like a Peugout (spelling may be wrong) 309. My dad used to have one, but something went seriously wrong with the front brake calipers, maybe a factory fault or just an isolated case. The diesel engine could really pull though, we got lots of steep hills round where I live, and with our huge ass family in it, it still went up the steepest in 4th gear.
Now in our 1.8 diesel (non turbo) Escort it's down to 2nd fully laden or 3rd with 2 passengers.
