I have just dusted off my a500
and am wanting to play those old games again
also to enamble my kids the great experience of this gaming great
problem:
had an upgrade done all so many years ago late 80's early 90's to ver. 2.0
the prob is had a switch installed on back of machine and a card put into the expansion slot but cant remember how to boot to ver.2 all i remember is it is a different colour screen and hand.
do i have to boot from hard drive or is there a kickstart disk or something
the mod was done by amiga tech australia

I don“t fully understand your problem. You seem to have a board inside with two kickstart roms on it, probably kick 1.3 (or almost similar 1.2) and kick 2.0 ... both will allow booting up games from floppy although not all games may work on both kick 1.3 or 2.0. For playing games from floppy you seem to have an almost ideal configuration. Just insert the games and have as much fun as possible !!!

Some of the old Rom switchers change to the second rom by holding down a mouse button on startup ;-)
