I decided I'd have a go at some old games downloaded in .adf format, but some won't run in my A1200, even with WHDLoad. So, since I've allways used an A500 in the past and didn't use these kinda things, what do you guys think I should go for?

Go for an A500.
Bye,

A real A500 or UAE, whatever you prefer.

Hoya!
@Jose
Which ones are not supported by WHDLoad?
Have a look at their site, maybe some work is going on... :-)

Yes, my A500 would do the job nice:-) . It's now gathering dust somewhere... But I'd rather use the A1200. There are a lot of degrader utilities, so I though I'd ask you which are the coolest more complete more compatible whatever... :-)

There is LAME, by an former Fairlight member iirc...

@MAD
Hey:) Well, not all games have a WHDLOad installer... The one I was trying right now is Hollywood Strip PokerPro2. There's an installer for the non strip version :-) but it doesn't work here. I remember when I was a kid and had some very cool evenings with friends playing that game hanging around and stuff.. :-D

I use JST and TUDE for all my degrading. For ADF transfers I'd recommend diskwiz by Codetapper. It handles any ADF I throw at it, does boot block virus checks, and also supports DMS.

@adolescent
Cool. Does diskwiz supports booting from ADFs? If that's possible at all.. It would be cool to just boot from the ADFs without saving them, kinda like a RAD drive..
-
Yes, I believe you can write the ADF to RAD and then boot from it. Then, use REMRAD to remove the disk.
