I used to have an A600HD back in the mists of time but when I saw an Amiga 500 (boxed!) for £5 at a carboot sale today I couldn't resist :-)
My mate who I was there with then got jealous and wanted one, unfortunately for me, he got one for £3 and it has an external disk drive too!
We spent the rest of the day playing Rainbow Islands, oh yes!
Just thought, I'd say hello as I'll be around here a bit now I think :-)

Five pounds sounds like a good deal, but you have to think, why only five pounds? I'm sure it works, but what can you do with it? Unless you like playing old games or running old soft ware. Hey, don't get me wrong, I have an A500 and I love the thing. It boots up faster than Windoze XP. There just ain't no new software for it. :-(

It does work...
And yes, I want to play all the games I used to love playing when I was younger, I do like playing old games - that's why I still have my SNES et al and have a Bubble Bobble Arcade Machine! :-)

I would have picked it up for £5 aswell. That's a bargain, and to say that there's no SW is a bitter lie :-o. I actually find it to be a bit funny that someone that's active on an Amiga forum would complain about lack of SW :-P.
I've bought myself a Game Boy Advance a while back, partially to play Lost Vikings once more, so I really do understand why people pick up old HW to play those good old games :-).

for a little bit of nostalgica you cant go wrong for 5 pounds !
and yes many of those old games still rock today - enjoy'em :-D

I never manage to find any Amiga stuff at car boot sales! Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough, or perhaps I don't get there early enough! You guys are probably beating me to it!
