Is there any differance between a Voodoo 3 3DFX 16meg and a Voodoo 3 3000 16meg ?
or are they both the same thing?
(not knowing much about the Voodoo card variety)
TIA,
Mike....

I think the VooDoo3 3000 has a higher clock speed (the same as the VooDoo3 3500 only without the tv tuner)
I seem to remember it's 143mhz core for the 2000..
And 166mhz for the 3000/3500
Correct me if I'm wrong!

All Voodoo cards are 3DFX so the cards can very well be the same. There are a few variasions of Voodoo3 (2000, 3000, 3500, all 16Mb cards though the higher the number the faster and I belive the 3500 have TVTuner on the AGP version), they come in both PCI and AGP versions.

The 2000 model can be easily overclocked to the same levels of 3000. Some ppl report to have reached the levels of 3500. Of course this is if you run windows and have the appropriate tweak tools. Has anyone ported them to AOS?

I've heard simmular reports... That the 2000 can be tweaked and set to 166Mhz which is the same as the 3000 model and at that speed it will in fact outperform it's bigger brother.
Sadly though... I doubt the tweak tool is available for the Amiga and even if, the overclocking requier fancooling so it's sadly out of the question in my machine (no room). :/
