Title: Looking for Amiga 600 motherboard
Post by: TjLaZer on June 04, 2004, 09:45:51 PM
Where can I find one in working order?  Would Vesalia have one?  I am in the US.  I can always send my dead one off to Amiga.fr for repairs I suppose, but it may be the same cost to get a new one.

eBay would provide lots of PAL A600 units (complete), however motherboards only are a bit uncommon.

There is an auction right now (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=51107&item=4135237225&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) for an A600 NTSC system in Canada (no psu, mouse, anything else other than the system itself), which may and probably will end with no bids. They say it's working, so take a shot and bid. You won't find anything much cheaper, and this way you get an extra floppy, case, and a working NTSC motherboard. Maybe you won't even need to take it apart, as from the pics it looks clean enough. :-)

Yeah I saw that one.  But it comes with nothing and he wants $35 to ship it.  Thats like $87.  I could repair the 600 I have for less...

Yes, I just saw that too. Can you believe that he even charges $10 for pick-up? He calles it handling charge at pick-up, lol.
