Ok if i dl alot of amiga software from the net and burn it onto a cd via my pc will the amiga see the programs on the disc??? will an amiga cd player read the stuff? I hope this isnt a dumb question but I have never thought about this before.
-
Short answer: Yes it will work on the amiga :-)

@Big-Iron
Sure .. no problem ...........
Just use the standard 'ISO' format.
I do it all the time.
-
Yup, you can use a CD-RW in most cases too. I do this all the time.
-
Use ISO mode 2
So you can have the long filenames
if u use iso 1 then everything will be 8 characters long
which is crap.

@mikrucio
I don't know what you mean by ISO 1 or 2. Is ISO 1 the reason my A2000 reads cd's burned on my pee cee like App_0076.lha instead of the full name the pee cee reads? If so, do you use ISO 2 to burn or to read? This has been driving me nuts for quite some time! :crazy:

Yep Spot on.
Use the level 2 iso format.upto 30 chars just like on amiga
since 1985 wow microsoft really knows there stuff.(CRAP)
I use nero at work to burn stuff to my amiga at home.
works fine.

nero rulez
[so does sepiroth :-) , nice avatar panthro]

In Nero's options you /burn/ in ISO 2. It also gives the option to use 'relaxed' rules, which is needed if you want more than 2 drawers deep! I use 5.5, and personally don't care for version 6 as it's been made more 'moron friendly' (ie. less flexible on the surface).
