Post by: Austin1200 on May 19, 2004, 06:21:18 PM
Ive posted a few messages before this, most importantly the one reguarding Ami2pc linkup (still aint working) :-/

Anyway, i was introduced to amigas at an early age, 13,
My mothers Ex boyfriend had lots of amigas when i was younger, and i used them all, these machines include
A500
A500+
A600
A1200
CD32
CDTV (with ALL expansions bar monitor, was my favorite of all at the time due to the vast PD library, if anybody can tell me where i can find a song that was perhaps called DESTROY YOUR SPEAKERS that had a image of women dancing, i think they were raytraced?, i would be well chuffed!!!)

 im now 26 btw, and found myself a MINT A1200 at a local car boot with an A600psu for - - - hehehe - - -
 (  £2 !!! )  :-o
immediately contacted my uncle who has nearly every commodore made machine except the A4000/T who sent me a nice conner 120meg hdd and WB3.1, trying to get likup kit to work as i mentioned before!

anyway, my mother had all her ex's software in the loft, and i can tell you theres at least 60 original boxed games, Winuae who?  :-P

Man! you had a great childhod! hehe, I can relate.........I am 29 now and I was introduced to Amiga by my Commodore 64 freak cousin. We used to go to his house to get free games and saw his Amazing A1000. To my surprise, a few weeks later, somehow My older brother convinced my dad to buy it for about $650.00 from my cousin.............the mere fact that my cousin even sold it was amazing! and thats where it all started approx 1987. Then in 1991 I fried the A1000 and didnt know what the heck to do. I was about to abandon the Amiga until I walked into an Amiga shop and saw the most loveliest Amiga ever.the Amiga 600!!!  I bought it immediately, even though the A1200 was released already (I hated the A1200 because it was huge like the A500 which I also hated)

haha, but now I have owned almost every Amiga ever made, except the CDTV and 4000T and 3000T (but those dont count since its the same mahine but just n a tower).
