Title: MegaloSound tips?
Post by: gizz72 on May 19, 2004, 02:14:44 AM
Greetings to all,

From an earlier thread, I finally found my copy of MegaloSound. It's version 1.38, but I'm not much familiar with the environment yet. I can't find the manual. :-( Lost in space??

Anyway, My question: How can I record directly to HD in IFF(ala .MP3),using my DSS8 device, without using up all of my memory(16MB fast ram only)?

I tried to load more than 16mb .iff audio but it gets 'truncated'. It's in stereo becomes a mono. Is that good? or just a scheme to shrink it?

There are also Frequency issues here. How can I make 19880 hz to a 27000 hz using Megalo(so I can burn it into CDDA).

Any idea how I can work on this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Good day to all Amigans! :-D

Geez.. I have to dig up some memories. The GUI is'nt really nice idd, but when you got it working, it will work :D

I can only help you with the frequency part: MakeCD will be happy to accept other frequencies then 44khz (CD audio). You can convert them with MakeCD as separate files or one the FLY! (DOA 2x burning converting with 060 :)

It's a bit confusing for me. Having trouble configuring the old thing. Specially when I try to understand the buttons.

DAO you mean? Well I can't. My Sony drive only supports TAO. My processor is a '030. My work around is only sox020. It really takes a while to do it though(slow). I was hoping to get away from cli commands for a change. Thanks. :-D
