Post by: bloodmoney on May 19, 2004, 02:06:36 AM
Hello to all,
I have an amiga 500(workbench 1.3 and 1.3 roms)
I just got 2 appple external scsi cdrom drives.(The caddy kind) One is model 150 the other model 300.
The cable from the drive fits the external scsi conection on my Great Valley Products a530 turbo box.
Will my amiga see this? if not would new os and a rom upgrades help or special drivers?
TIA.

It should work just fine.  I used an Apple 300 CD-ROM on my A500 with Dataflyer SCSI.  You just need a CD file system like AmiCDFS from Aminet.

You will need generic CD-ROM drivers.  I'm using AsimCDFS 3 with a GVP board and an Apple CD-ROM, but that is with Workbench 2.04 (and 3.1 ROMs).
