I've seen this on e-bay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3543&item=8105053210&rd=1
My question is:
Note: The adaptor does not perform scandoubling therefore you must select VGA compatible screenmodes or use a monitor which also can handle 15 khz horizontal frequency. If you don't have a such 15 khz monitor, you can use the adaptor only for the Amiga 1200 / 4000 !
Since this is not a scandoubler, it doesn't matter if you have an A1200 or A4000 since this two do that, and work as a scandoubler?
-
That is just a DB23 -> HD15 adaptor. It won't touch Sync rate. So you'd need to use a monitor that can handle the sync rate you use.
The A1200/4000 can output in the standard 30khz range, but only for workbench -- most games won't be able to use this feature. There's lots more threads about this on here, to learn more.... :-)

Thanks, that was what i was thinking about...
Yes, i read something like this somehere in this forum but the lack of a search engine makes it harder to find.
-
If you're logged in, there's a search box in the top/right box of the HOME page, just below the banner. :-)
-
Duh! you are right... i never went to the home page
Btw... this -> Adapter, VGA adapter to connect a VGA/Multiscan monitor to the Amiga RGB port up at Versalia is a scandoubler? if not where can i get one? :-?
-
No, this is just sa same as what you've seen on Ebay.
Enter flicker as search argument at Vesalia and you will find a scandoubler.
Bye,
Thomas

ok... Thanks... but there is no flicker por a desktop A1200? only Towered A1200's?
-
Well, it seems these things are getting rare nowadays. There exist internal and external scandoublers with and without flickerfixer. But only a few are still awailable. Perhaps you should check Ebay or something like that.
Bye,
Thomas
