But I wouldn't try to set it precisely to the limit... HDToolbox isn't always that exact... at least when looked from MB values.

If HDtoolbox gives you a negative or a very small disk size, you are just over the limit. Reduce the number of cylinders to get below the limit.

Hint: you can connect a HDD of any size, but you can only use the first 4GB of it.

4 gb are 4096 mb, 4194304 kb and 4294967296 bytes.
And 8388608 blocks of 512 bytes each.

Bye,
Thomas

you can use the trackdisk 64 fastfilesystem patch, and an updated version of 'info' off of aminet. i have a 12Gb disk in my OS3.0 machine. the only problem i have is the fact that for some reason it isn't recognising anything above 8Gb. but i still have to bear in mind the partition size limitation for OS3.0 of 2Gb (2048Mb) so i have a 200Mb system drive, and the rest of the 8Gb split 2Gb, 2Gb, 2Gb, 1.6Gb. (First 200Mb unused to aviod the Dell laptop diagnostic partition that won't be gotten rid of! grrrr)

not perfect, there are some size reporting errors still, but it'll do untill i can get some OS 3.1 roms and OS3.9
