Title: VGA monitor versus1080 Monitor

Is there a quality loss by connecting an A1200 system to any VGA monitor rather than to a 1080 monitor?

I don't know what a 1080 monitor is, but provided that it is similar to the 1084 (which is nothing more than a TV without tuner), the VGA monitor will give you a much better picture. However you need a scandoubler to connect the Amiga to a VGA monitor.
