Title: CSA RocketLauncher for A2630 accelerator
Post by: OSS542 on May 09, 2004, 06:10:29 AM
Greetings All....:-)

I remember an upgrade board that converts the A2630 for operating with a 50 mhz 68030.  I think it was called the RocketLauncher, and may have been made by CSA (the ones who made the Derringer, I think....).  It seems to be a real rarity.  I'd like to try and locate one if possible.
Any ideas here ?

Made by CSA, yes.

It's listed in the great Big Book of Amiga Hardware (http://www.amiga-hardware.com): Rocket Launcher (http://www.amiga-hardware.com/rocketlauncher.html).

"... an accelrator for an accelrator!" Must be a rarity.

Yes it is quite a rare card. I had to buy a whole system to get hold of it.
This cars is only interesting for collectors. For someone who just want`s to use it to push it`s A2630 a little further is`t nonsense from the economical point of view.
I you manage to get one of those alone it will cost you last as much as you would have to pay for a Blizzard 2040.
