Title: More then one CD Drive in A1200 Tower?
Post by: Zero on May 07, 2004, 03:29:10 PM
I have a A1200 Tower and I have added another CD Drive to it.

I have a 4 Way IDE connector and on one channel I have my HD and the other I have my CDRW as slave and CDROM as a master. I can use either on there own (one discontected), but with the two together only the slave one will show/work.

I have AmigaOS 3.5, any ideas. or I am trying to do something that can't be done ;)

Try this way of hooking them up to your controller:

Primary Port:
Hard Drive (master)
CD-Rom (slave)

Secondary Port:
CD-RW (master)

See if that makes any difference.

Make sure you properly update your CD mountlists to reflect these changes.

Thanks, I will have a look :)

I did not check the mount lists, I will do so now.
